Nice enough gym when I tried it, £15 for a day pass is a bit much for the kit on offer. Only one squat rack, kit is quite crammed into a small area to make way for all the CV machines, and I don't believe they allow dead lifting due to the gym being on the second floor of the building. Very nice if all you want to do is some light lifting and mostly cardio though.

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely relaxed morning here as this was a birthday present from my daughter. The receptionist was very welcoming and explained everything very well and guided us where to go. Myself and my daughter were in the same room which was great and the girls who gave us the massages were very polite and friendly. They explained what would happen and asked questions before beginning the back and shoulder massage. We both felt so relaxed afterwards and the relaxation room was lovely with heated tiled benches. We did use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi but did feel that area needed maintenance as I cut my toe on a cracked tile, but it did not spoil the day as I really enjoyed the experience.

Massage was great, and good value for money. The facilities were pretty busy though, and not the cleanest I've ever been to. It's also a bit of a maze between the pool/sauna, changing rooms, and treatment rooms. The saving grace of this place is the post-treatment relaxation room; the heated benches are wonderful, and the atmosphere is lovely although quite a small room.

We came here after purchasing a red letter day experience. The staff were polite and informative. The spa area is clean and relaxing and they massaged both my wife and I at the same time. We didn't use the gym but we did use the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool area did need a little maintenance. We noticed flaking paint on the ceiling and on certain walls. All the other areas we went into were clean and seemed to be maintained. If I was a paying member/monthly payment, I would expect better decor though

Lovely afternoon spent here, man on reception made us feel very welcome and made sure we had all info required and knew where we were going. Changing area, pool, jacuzzi and sauna were all good and clean. Highlight was our 2 treatments, given by male therapists (unfortunately can't mind names). Were unsure of having male therapists but made to feel comfortable and very soon relaxed and enjoyed fantastic facial and massage.

Facilities are very dated and poorly maintained, nothing even close to what is advertised. The jets in the jacuzzi are not working and the water is not warm enough. The water in the swimming pool is cloudy suggesting that swimming pool needs to be cleaned. Half of the showers are broken, water is mostly too cold and there is no pressure. The price for the day pass is £25!? This is a price of a MONTHLY membership in some of the gyms. If a day pass in Bannatyne's was £10 I would still give it a miss. Never again!

Nothing special nearly punctuture the back of my head in the sauna us there was screws sticking out of timber wood. The gym is bit too small & not many equipment to train with. The jacuzzi is mostly cold & not that hot compared to other gyms. Could do with some refurbishment. Showers in the changing room to slow.

We attended after having booked a SPA day with treatments included. somehow the booking was not adequately entered on the database. we are NHS professionals and were looking forward so much to this pampering day. Bannatynes' manager, Rachel did a magnificent job in turning a wrong into a right. She was honest, empathic and thorough. She explained she could not give us all that was included in the voucher due to therapists not having been booked due to booking not going through. Said she would fully investigate what had happened for this to occur she gave us full access to the SPA facilities for the day, 2 complimentary Massage treatments, a goody bag of cosmetics, robes, flipflops, towels etc. She instructed us to keep our vouchers, put our diaries together for January and come again. Now this is excellent management which turned a negative into a positive. Massage therapist was very good too.
