I want to start out by saying that Dickins is an outstanding group of friendly and efficient people to work with. Our experience with them could not have been any better. We were a visiting academic couple seeking a 5 month accommodation in the center of Edinburgh. I had contacted probably 20 different companies while looking for a place to rent. Most sent me polite messages like, "see us when you arrive". Not Dickins. They immediately emailed me back, asked what I was looking for and set me up with a great home in exactly the area we wanted to stay. That was the easy part. Shortly before we arrived in Edinburgh, the property owners told our agent that they were selling property and breaking the agreement. Dickins found a new place for us to stay that was even better and super new. It was amazing because our rental started during the Fringe Festival which has to make finding a good place nearly impossible. Anyway, they didn't let us worry because the day they contacted me with the bad news about the other home, they also presented the new home. So, no stress for me! During my stay I looked forward to dropping by their office to pay the rent because they always had great ideas for our visit and were so friendly. My overall advice is to contact Dickins when you need great support. I highly recommend them for anyone doing a sabbatical in Edinburgh. They understand the situation and are so helpful. Overall, thanks everyone at Dickins for making my stay easy and amazing! Great job! I will certainly be a repeat customer any time I am in Edinburgh!

Bell Place apartment - Edinburgh We needed accommodation in Edinburgh for one month, and it was our language institute that recommended us to contact Dickins based on previous positive experiences. We are delighted with the extraordinary treatment received by this company, and we will certainly use their services again in the future. The sales manager helped us choosing an adequate accommodation for our stay, matching our requirements with the purpose of our visit. The property itself was clean, well equipped, and strategically located. One night we suffered a technical issue (circumstances beyond Dickins' scope of responsibilities), and we received prompt and efficient help by the company's emergency helpline, and the problem was solved within 30 minutes. On top of that, the company's managing director came to check the same night in person if everything was resolved satisfactorily.

Rented a flat from them- very lovely, very kind people with amazing properties. We were welcomed in our flat by an amazing hamper of delicious groceries which was very helpful as we arrived late- full of goodies for all Travellers such as coffee, cookies, milk etc In addition, there was an abundance of toiletries provided from wonderful Brands such as white company etc - they even thoughtfully included face wash! All this was very helpful for road weary Travellers. In addition, they were so prompt when we contacted them about anything- honestly the most efficient service I've experienced in the UK (which includes 4 years in Scotland and 3 in London) :) :)

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm what the other reviews say. Due to the quality of the flat, we had to meet and greet various plumbers on an almost daily basis. However, for this networking opportunity we give one star.

Absolutely amazing from the start till even after my stay. Great houses, Great locations, Great service, Unbelievably friendly and welcoming staff. The rental flat was spot on clean, equipped with everything you might ever need, the furniture was both new and stylish, fairly good Internet. The kitchen utilities had everything you need, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven , a stove, big fridge and freezer and washing machine, all were nicely hidden in the decor of the kitchen. The bathroom was again spot on clean, it had a big tub and a shower they both worked brilliantly. The bedroom, it had a big bed, extra large cabinet(S) that's right not just one, had extra pillows, extra covers just in case packed in one of the cabinets, it had a large TV and two docks on each side of the bed for Iphone. The living room, had a dining table, big sofa, a coffee table and two side tables with stylish table lamps a big TV, dvds and a DVD player. To sum up, it was definitely one of the best places I've ever stayed in, both in service and the quality of the stay. I definitely recommend anyone who is coming to Edinburgh for a short stay to book with Dickins. Best regards, N.Lina.

Reliable rental agency, professional staff. Our flat was a fair walk from the city centre but excellent value nonetheless, in a quiet neighbourhood. I definitely recommend this company.
