Tesco Superstore edinburgh

I go there many times a month. It's always clean and tidy. All the shelves are very well organised and labels and promo areas are perfectly clear and understandable. The staff is always ready to help. Huge car park available and lots of other shops all around. Late in the evening you can find a good variety of reduced to clear food sometimes better than half price. Good job guys!

Came in with my autistic son as he said he fancied chicken nuggets, as the cafe was quiet I ordered some and got a seat...35 minutes later I was presented with a very poor looking portion of nuggets and 9 chips. It's bad enough having to wait 35 minutes but the chips weren't even that hot (especially the ones that were squashed and cold) not impressed with the staffs attitude either as when I mentioned we had waited 35 minutes she said we should have been told about the wait at the till...I explained the cafe was almost empty when we arrived and didn't think it would of taken so long.

The staff in this shop never EVER answer the phone . They prefer to ignore it. Also customer service meant to be open at 7am to 8pm your having a laugh try more 10am to 4pm if your lucky!

You let me down with a critical order. I note your Christmas deliver slots become available this week and prior to this incident I was going to go online on Wednesday and book one. However, now I am not sure I can trust Tesco to deliver my Christmas order, not stress you’d like on Christmas day. On Tuesday 19th November I placed a £300 online shopping order, you agreed to deliver this order between 5pm & 6pm on Friday 22nd November to the address of an Air B&B I had hired in Edinburgh. However, I had the following problems: · By 6.30pm my order had not arrived. You had notified me by text message that the delivery was delayed and my order would be delivered before 6.25pm · At 18:52 I rang your customer service team to ask where my order was. At this time I was advised that the driver had attempted to deliver at 6.20pm. I left 2 numbers on my order and neither number was rung when the driver ‘attempted’ to deliver. I left this matter with your customer service representative who said he would ring the store and ring me back with an update. · 45 minutes later I had received no update so I decided to ring back. Time was of the essence I had a group of 16 people including 3 under 3’s waiting for their dinner to arrive in Edinburgh. At this point, I phoned your call center again and was informed that actually no one had attempted to deliver my order at 6.20pm. What had actually happened was the drive had run out of time to deliver. I was outraged that I had been lied to previously by Tesco. · At this point, Tesco offered to redeliver my order on Saturday 23rd November between 3pm & 4pm almost 24 hours after our original agreed time. I pointed out that I had 16 people arriving in Edinburgh this evening to no food and that our trip was only 2 days (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) so by this point, in time 50% of the food I had ordered would actually not be required. Also it would have interrupted our plans for the day as someone would have to wait in for the order. · The only option I was given was to use this slot or cancel my order with £10 compensation being offered for my order of £300 in value, not even 5% of my orders value. · Upon further pressure, I was presented with the option to go to the store to collect the order, however, without transport this was a 20-minute Taxi journey to the store & a 20-minute return journey to the house, for which I was informed Tesco would be unable to compensate me. I asked for the order to be placed in a taxi at Tesco and sent to the house saving 1 leg of the journey, however, this was rejected. · I was left with no option but to cancel my order. I feel totally let down by Tesco. I had taken money from my friends with their good faith that I would arrange food & drinks for the weekend. I was embarrassed and appalled that the arrangements I had put in to place were canceled by Tesco. Your dumb online system actually still shows my order a 'delivered' despite not delivering at all Tesco.

Good place, unfortunately difficult to get to or go from with normal public transportation

Only supermarket I ever shop in and the only supermarket that seems to still care about protecting it's customers.

Went Into this store today, to pick up only a small number of things, picked up 4 in total, qnd went to customer service till, qnd asked If I could pay for them there, which the woman qt the till, said no, as she was too busy, and I needed too go, too another till, even though there was a notice up, saying thag they would allow customers tok purchases a few things there, which I thought I'd have come into this, but obvioulsy not , have tok highly comientnthe woman for this though, as there was myself and one other person at the till there, at the time, around 1pm, however when I walked I to the store I went too this area, too claim a win, on a scratch card, which the other lady serving at the time, was very friendly, qnd while I was there, at this point, I watched the other women handing out donuts too one of her pals, I'd this is wahg constitutes her being too busy, maybe being in a customer service role, isn't the right place for her, unfortunately I didn't get her name though

Convenient location and always filled with great goods and at a great value. A transport hub nearby makes it much easier to get to and get home without excessive walking
