This is overall a very nice library. However if you wish to use a computer, quite often a lot of them are pre-booked, and at busy times a casual visitor CANNOT access a computer at all because of this, I think, inconsiderate habit. Often enough, the pre-booker doesn't show and there seems to be no penalty. Staff SAY if the person is 5 mins late, booking cancelled but I don't think this promise is always adhered to. My complaints about this have been totally ignored, indeed I was told by one man that this (unpleasant) policy would definitely continue! I suggested 1 or 2 computers might be available to all BUT NOT PRE-BOOKED. This idea was rejected. No reason given. This problem doesn't occur at, say, Govanhill Library or the library at GOMA. I feel that some self-important folk just pre-book thinking it MIGHT be useful to them and if they don't turn up, who cares? Very nasty in my opinion. That said - apart from the public computers - the library is well laid out, has a toilet and staff respond politely to questions about books etc.
