I wouldn’t recommend Townends. I had very bad experience in York office and feel myself very disappointed. Never come back to their services. They care about their income only and no customer support at all. Our family accountant has left the company 3 month ago, and of course he took his clients with him. I sent him confirmation of my interest to deal with him in future and my respect for his job in the past. So, couple of days ago I received 150£ invoice from Townends for the question which was discussed with their ex-employee 6 month ago. I didn’t get even a proper answer about capital allowance claim, I haven’t been informed about extra charges, what I got - just quotes from open sources which I new without “professional advice”. Everything looks like Townends were looking for extra profits, and didn’t care about their ex clients and staff. And they find “the reason” to get a bit more 🤷‍♀️

I made the mistake of working with this company under an agreement with an employee who left their company and then when I informed them I was taking my business elsewhere they suddenly produced a number of invoices outside of what I agreed with their former employee. A very sinister company that should be avoided. I ended up paying them just to avoid wasting anymore time with them on the subject. Once I paid them they failed to cancel the paperwork so I received court letters for a debt I had paid that I never owed in the first place.
