HSBC glasgow

HSBC in general is a good but the customer service representative in this branch are useless and it's not efficient in responding to customers...it's been nearly 20 days I have applied for account opening but still no update and they are not even able to track the application...one of friend who applied for same account in brimingham has got it created on same day.

Bank service is decent. However, they did not let me in this bank office as I was there 4 minutes past their work time for just a cash in. 4 minutes !!!! It was 17:04 and I just needed the machine!! I live at the other end of the town and as a student, transport takes a lot of time and money. I literally wasted 3 hours of my time to come here and I wi have to do it again. I do work at customer service and know how it is, but that was literally just cruel. I am very disappointed.

What a waste of time to pick up debit card which they ordered in the bank. Had to wait lot of time. They should provide it quickly with ID check.

Hsbc basically good bank, but they need more branches accross in the UK / Scotland too. When i need a new bank account the Staff helped me immediately. Staff ok. I offer them.

I do not recommend it to international students. Bank of Scotland or Barclays is much better

This is the worst customer service experience I have had in my entire life. The worst! Doesn't even respond to my queries when I go to the bank, just says contact customer service number which by the way will keep you waiting for more than 2 hours and then hang up. I made an international transaction 2 weeks back and its still not credited. The bank says they dont know the status of the transaction as its not something that concerns them.

Unbelievably frustratingly slow service. 5 members of staff floating around doing nothing with a huge queue barely moving. Machines inside broken and only one active teller. Waiting in the queue right now and in 30 minutes only 4 people have been served

Had to visit the branch on Buchanan street as I contacted the bank by calling and was told I had to visit the branch to unlock my account upon arrival I was greeted by an a burley older guy didn’t catch his name but he was rather quite rude when I explained the situation he seemed as if he didn’t want to be there and told me to stand in line I was then put in a waiting bench and had to wait for 30 mins during this time i watched the staff frantically try to deal with the busy branch it just looked totally out of control and after 30 mins I was seen by the only person who seemed to have control of the situation a happy tall guy called louis he listened to my issue and was very sincere about me having to travel all the way to Glasgow louis promised that I shouldn’t worry about the actual issue causing my account being blocked as it is something he had seen before and that he would have it fixed within no time to which he fulfilled his promise and I was ready to leave very quickly my advice to anyone going to this branch would be to ask for louis as the other staff seem grumpy and overworked , Note to HSBC hire more young enthusiastic employees like louis and drop the dead wood grumpy staff !!!!!!!!!!!

They managed to block my husband out of his account and wouldnt unlock it

I banked with this branch for less than a year. This was with HSBC premier this means if you have 60k in savings or earn over 100k per year you get a manager appointed to look after your accounts. My problem was that when l went away and used my HSBC bank card it would constantly be declined for no reason even though there was a considerable amount of money in that account. When phoning customer service you would be put through a call centre in India where l could not understand a word said, in the end l had to take a flight to Glasgow and walk into the bank to get this matter sorted. My appointed manager Kevin had to phone customer service on my behalf and he understood what l meant as he couldn't understand the customer service agent either. In the end l had to move banks due yo the issues not being resolved. Overall a pretty useless bank.
