Situated some several miles out of Glasgow, which necessitated a £15 taxi ride to get there. Arrived in heavy rain, but received a warm welcome from the reception team, and a hand in with our luggage. Necessary paperwork completed, and delighted with the quality of hire car. March registered with 4000 on the clock. Alternative fuel deals explained, and deals to reduce the standard insurance excess from £1k to £400. I understand that they will return us to our hotel at the end of the hire period. Very happy with the car, same make as my own, later model.

Excellent service from the staff at Glasgow, South Street. Received an upgraded car. Left our mobile in the car and received a call from them to tell us about it. No hassles at all. Would recommend them to anyone.

What a wonderful haven of hot drinks and shortbread. A decent size mug too. None of your disposable cr*d. Great for the uncomfortable wait while many staff run here and there also feeling uncomfortable and busying themselves. We booked a car over the phone. Turned up to pick it up but they had no cars left. How can this be? We still don't know either. So completely unhelpful. Weird.

Visited to pick up hire mini bus for a Kiltwalk. Easy ad quick booking process and minibus brought to the hire office. Very clean.

Rented a 4x4 car for my 2-week trip in Scotland. The overall impression is below expectations for the following reasons. 1) they do not fulfill their promises: promised to pick me up from the hotel using a shuttle service, but in the end did not do it, so I spent additional 2 hours to get to the office on my own and then return back to the hotel in a car; 2) the cars are not of a great standard: they lack basic safety features like bind spot zones monitoring; 3) the personnel is not caring: tried to not include pre-ordered insurance into the contract, although the price remained the same; did not save my personal wishes and details which I filled in when I ordered the car. The good point was that the car was diesel, which saved me a lot of money during the trip. As a result, my rating for the company is 2 stars out of 5. Next time I will not rent a car from Arnold Clark because the prices are higher, the service standards are lower, and the cars are worse equipped than of the competitors.

Hired a dual control car over four days for our teenage learner and overnight for 8.20am driving test. All the staff at this branch were extremely helpful, including the supply of the required test day documentation. Easy to book, cars immaculate with additional rear mirror. Very reasonable Young Scot card holders rates. Our teenager passed their test today in the Arnold Clark dual control car. Would highly recommend this branch and service.

I hired a car for a week over Christmas with Celtic Legend/Arnold Clark car rental at South Street. It was a very good experience! A great car, excellent customer service and none of the surprises that other car rental companies inflict. I'll be back!

I've used this branch of Arnold Clark several times during the pandemic and have been delighted with the quality of service and ease of collecting and returning the vehicle. This time I was given a Quick Check card which means in future I don't need to provide several forms of ID, also a loyalty card which when full will give me a discount on my next hire. I truly feel like a valued customer and I'd highly recommend this branch to anyone. Special thanks to George, who always makes me feel welcome.
