We booked room for 3 but the room we got was maximum for 2 and we got a bunk bed. No shampoo or shower gel, the bathroom is so small that you can’t even move you hands in there, no hairdryer, no kettle, air condition not working, horrible noise from the nearby motorway. The bathroom had a glass door (in a room for 3??!!??) and there was a peephole aroud the waist area. And if this is not enough there was a mirror just in front of the bathroom so you could watch your friends taking a shower...

Location was good with facilities but the safety aspect and the fact that they do not have security resulted in myself and colleague leaving early and finding alternative accommodation. We received abuse from people hanging around the entrance awaiting us entering the lift to get to our rooms with very intimidating behaviour and a dislike to English people. It seems to be a drop in centre for the less fortunate which I do not have a problem with but this is not suitable accommodation for anyone with children or for a long stay period. Safety is something you assume to have to not worry about when staying in a hotel, unfortunately here you are at risk from the moment you step through the door.

I think the smell of mold in the bathroom speak for it self. Even that it is a budget hotel there is no place for compromising with the hygiene. The buffet breakfast is great and well priced as well. You have two options 5.95 £ for the buffet and 3£ for as it been advised breakfast on the go. Please when you have a egg read the sign carefully /see picture/ because you might end up with braking fresh egg thinking that its cooked. In regards with the staff they are very helpful and frequently.

The stay was horrible. I could not sleep at all - the bed was so uncomfortable, and the pillow was rock solid. I could hear pipes all night. The room was very unkept - there were stains all over the floors, the walls, and the roof. We were not told how many beds we were getting, therefore my mother and brother had to share a bed. The restroom was far too small - I had to go all the way to reception and use the disabled toilet, which there was a queue for. Also the shower was not part of the restroom, making it able to see into while people are in there. There was also someone who had left a McDonalds all over the floor in the corridor, making it difficult to get around. The room itself was also very small, and could hardly fit me, my brother, and my brother in it. For breakfast, we got told it was a buffet, but there were hardly any options. Overall it was not a good stay, and was not worth it. We ended up booking a Premier Inn after a night in that hotel. Honestly, I wish that I could leave a 0 star rating.

The outside looks a bit tired but the inside was nice enough. The room , although small , was clean and comfortable. Pleasant staff. Nice place for a stopover after the Christmas market and pantomime.

3/ 5

Everything you'd expect from a budget hotel including the worst toilet paper, the thinnest mattress and the shower tray in the corner of the room. We did arrive early and get a room before our check in time so that was handy. Somewhere to lay your head for the night for £36.

Definitely at the cheap and cheerful end of things but the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was passable and the room pleasant. The toilet paper was pretty much sandpaper but I liked the facilities otherwise and drinks and food in the hotel were well priced. Took me a minute to get the hang of the lifts system.
