Scotts Fish and Chips york

Had a fish and chip tea with my husband today. Everything cooked fresh to order and was very delicious. Device was very good. Served by Karen. She was friendly and had time to chat. We talked about the great 60s CD playing. Would definitely call again. Would recommend to everyone.

This is an amazing place. I had the home made steak pie which was packed solid with meat. The flavour was fantastic. The chips were cooked perfectly. My partner had the sea food basket which she loved. We shared a large slice of cake that was easily enough for two. The waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit. We will definitely be visiting it again.

Very disappointed ordered oven baked Salmon, new potatoes and salad. Only to be told 15 minutes after ordering no salad. Not a big problem changed it for peas. My oven baked Salmon came it had been cooked within an inch of its life and deep fried. Yes deep fried not oven baked as on the menu and asked for. Laugh of it all was the manager looked at our meal before it came out and when I complained she agreed it was inedible but she never once said sorry. Sorry goes a long way as I told her so. Hubbies fish and chip was much better apart from the chips being cold. We didn’t have pay for his meal in the end and also received a sorry but only after I had pointed out that she hadn’t said sorry. Very disappointed and will never be back.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Scott's offered a really good range of gluten free options and my meal was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant very clean and well managed. Thank you for a very pleasant evening. I will definitely be coming back.

Pleasant seving staff. Tasty food, well presented, fair sized portions. Will call again when passing.

The food is delicious!!! I love this place. The service is great! The girl,Roxana, is a very nice and friendly person,with a beautiful smile on her face. She is a hard worker but calm and sweet during service. Thank you Roxana!

Late Sunday lunch time. Car park nearly empty. Only people in take away. Staff saw us arrive and didn't acknowledge us. Waited almost ten minutes before we were served, with no apology for being kept waiting. After the wait, the chips were dry and not even worth waiting for. The potato lacked any nuttiness, relying on vinegar for any chance of flavour. No outdoor seating area for takeaway. Should have gone to McDonald's next door, which we'd ruled out, in the hope of some nicely cooked food. Underwhelmed and disappointed.
