Jaipur Spice – York york

Booked this place by accident but glad we did. Parking situation is obviously due to the hospital next door, understandable but would be good if you could get the cost refunded (although if council owned that’s probably why). I wouldn’t usually choose a set menu but the dish I wanted was on it so two of us chose it. It was absolutely delicious. The starter was fabulous, as was the main, the meat was so fresh and tender. Maybe I’m just jaded by the poor quality of Indian cuisine near me but this was so good. Even the side was tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will be back next time we’re in the neighbourhood.

Great restaurant, they put on a good night for new year, very tasty food, Solomon runs the restaurant very well, very accommodating.

Cold ambience, overcooked rubbery prawns in Biryanni, sickly -sweet yoghurt with oversalted poppadums, runniest Chutney all served very promptly with a smile... great if you're drunk after a night out

Absolutely disgusting my order arrived in a bag coated in either engine oil Or Diesel even the food containers. All I got from the restaurant was we will give you a discount on your next order. If that’s the response I wonder if food hygiene will feel the same way. Never will I order from this place every again food safety doesn’t seem to be a priority Unfortunately I can’t do a smell the contaminated bag. But I assure you it’s not good

Fantastic restaurant, friendly service, amazing authentic food and at a good price. Best Indian in York, they also do Takeaway so it's definitely worth a go.
