Last Friday we had our Christmas lunch at the Hummingbird. We had booked the upstairs dining room which had its own bar. We were a party of 22. On arrival we were given a glass of Prosecco. We had a 3 course meal which we had to select prior to the visit. Staff were excellent and always on hand in case drinks needed to be ordered. There was enough time between the courses to allow us to digest them. Overall we had a great time.

After being welcomed in by door staff we were asked to vacate our table after only 8 minutes. The manager said she is usually on the door to sort this but they didn't have an alternative table for us. At £8 a drink they can afford some decent time management and customer service
