We had a lovely two night stay in the family suite. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the rooms were clean although they could really use some updating, as could the bathroom. There was an iron singe on the carpet of the double room, but other than that they were fine. Breakfast on day one was delicious but sadly on the second morning they hadn't a table set for us. This was quickly rectified although when we were finally able to order our choices, some were not available. These took over 40 minutes to arrive and sadly were overcooked and in two cases rather inedible. We put this down to them being very busy and seemingly understaffed. However, what made it a lovely stay was the staff! They were all so friendly and obliging we had rather a laugh. We would stay there again when visiting our friends!

Nice clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Mine had a shower that would blow your socks off (if you got in with them on that is) - I certainly didn't have to run in circles to get wet. The food is excellent, I ate in the bar and was not disappointed. Loaded nachos for a starter was more like a main meal and really good. Breakfast not served till 0730 but I'll let them off because their Eggs Benedict was to die for. I would recommend this hotel for your night or two stop over.

Lovely place. Was there for a function. The function suite we were in was quite small but big enough for our function. Staff were great and wearing masks. Buffet was very good. Only down fall was very limited parking had to park elsewhere and walk which was OK.

The Redhurst - whilst obviously a hotel - is also a well known local bar (and restaurant) which almost everyone from the surrounding area will visit from time to time. It has recently re-opened following an extensive refit, and one cannot deny that the refurbishment has transformed the place visually, and there is no doubt that the new terrace overlooking the car park has been modeled to a high standard of finish. It is a welcome addition, and really gives the Redhurst an added dimension. However, despite the Redhurst website stating clearly (in reference to the terrace) "food & drink will be available outside", I have now been there on three occasions where the management informed me that food would not be served on the terrace due to "the kitchen being very busy"?? This has been at various times between 16:00 - 20:00. At first, I presumed that this may be down to teething issues, and it would be resolved in time (& with practice), but for it to happen a second and then third time is bewildering! The staff have offered various excuses/reasons at the time, but none of them seemed to make logical sense? A restaurant that cannot cope with a full house on a weekend evening - and takes the monumental step of actually closing the kitchen - is surely either poorly managed, badly designed, or simply not fit for purpose?? I have never been in any restaurant in the world (some 4 - 5 times as large as the Redhurst) where the service has actually been stopped on a weekend evening! One might contest that the Redhurst may slowly morph back into a shinier version of it's former self if this level of 'service' continues? Will we soon view it as merely a local drinking den used by football fans before they board their supporter's buses? I really want to love the Redhurst and it's restaurant. However, given the difficulty of actually placing a food order on a weekend evening, it may take me some time to get there...

We have just returned home from the Redhurst Hotel where we were married yesterday on a total high! We had the best experience ever.... The hotel is beautifully refurbished, honeymoon suite luxurious and the function room was just stunning and elegant with mood lighting and glitter ball all with a contemporary twist. However what really makes this hotel stand out is the staff!! From the reception staff, wedding organizers Jenny and Lucy to the bar staff and a big special mention to the lovely Natalie. If we had an award for Customer Services Manager it would go to the magnificent Lorraine who could not do enough to ensure our day was perfect. She really is a huge asset to this hotel and made our day one to cherish forever. Thank you Jenny for organizing our day with such detail down to the steaks and thick cut chips (brought in especially) to Lucy who ensured all was perfect on the day, even checked the chips were thick enough🤣 A big big shout out to the kitchen staff for preparing such delicious food and catering to all our needs. Our guests loved the food. Bar staff thanks for the chat and dancing behind the bar to our tunes. I can not recommend this hotel and the staff enough, we would give 6 stars if possible. attended a funeral here several weeks ago and the soup wasn't hot enough and very thin. The crusty bread was hard. The fish and chips were cold - especially the chips. Always scared to send food back and it wasn't the time to do that due to the day. But everyone who had the fish and chips left most of their food. The other dish that was on offer was steak pie with potatoes and veg and half the table had that and it was fine. Wouldn't go here for dinner now. Staff were good though.
