Was alright until I started getting stalked from someone here and the school did absolutely nothing and my brothers also got stabbed cause of the same person who was stalking us yet the school let them stay and we had to leave cause we weren't safe and were getting daily threats
Great education, many wonderful teachers. Shame half the kids dont have their heads on right.
Meh
Worst skl g pattern up
I now have an opportunity to say what I think about this place. I came there 4 to 5 times with a CV because I wanted to sit Advanced-Highers exams as an independent candidate. I did write a cover letter (I have a Master's Degree and I am bilingual). The Headteacher was able to chat with me for a minute or two and said he would be accomodating and may enroll me for AH exams, but he never did. Never did he call me back neither. I called back the school a few times and was never able to get any explanation whatsoever. That ruined one of my dreams (I made it clear to the Headteacher) which simply consisted in owning foreign diplomas, being French myself. How difficult would it have been to just allow me to sit an exam as an independent candidate? I'll probably never know.
Never would you expect a school to prioritise its own image so much over the well being of its students, not having your tie on right will cause teachers to absolutely blow up, but a student getting relentlessly bullied? Eh, not our problem, even if it's happening in plane site of three teachers. They always tell us that the teachers are here to help but really it would be less hurtful if they straight up told us they didn't care instead of telling us to come to them for help because they don't care at all. The only way anyone could even have chance to stop the bullying is to defend themselves, but oh wait, that makes them just as bad as the person beating them up, never mind the fact that we were blissfully watching this happen right infront of us for the past few months, fights make our students look violent
Can you please have a word with the pupils who use the Take aways in Kilmarnock rd at lunchtime. They stand outside,3/4 abreast,no masks, and,no manners, when you ask them to move!
Terrible service. 1/5 wouldn't stay again
Ex Pupil here, circa 1992-95 before we moved. In my experience, this was a fantastic school to attend. Multi-cultural, multi-racial, multie-faith. The teachers, the ones I liked anyway where fantastic. I remember Mr McKay, Art teacher, very patient with pupils. Mr Letford was my guidance teacher, brilliant man, so if your reading then thank you for your time. Head teacher back in those days, Mr Wilson was fantastic also. I have fond memories of the place. Strict no bullying policy even back then, welcoming atmosphere. A swimming pool which the pupils were allowed to use during lunch hour, (I don't know if this still applies, or if the pool is still there). I would put mine here but live too far away.
