Having been elsewhere before I decided to try Boots. I booked an appointment online and went down the same day. This was for a contact lens trial and fit. They did a full eye test on me explained the lenses to me and the payment plan. They made me feel at ease when it came to having the lenses put in as I had never worn them before. They have a wide variety of glasses to choose from. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a smaller store which I prefer as it is more personal. Would recommend.

Although it’s a tiny branch and always super busy, the staff are all lovely and extremely helpful.

Been with these for over 10 years and up until now they have been great, couldn't fault them. However, since my last appointment in Sept '18, (which they booked wrong so i had a wasted trip) they have changed my contact lens delivery date without notifying me. They have also cut the amount of lenses i get but kept the payment the same. I have contacted boots directly and they said i need to speak to the branch, which is impossible as they do not answer the phone! This opticians hasn't gone down hill, it's fallen off a cliff!

I have bought glasses from here in the past. Testing seems to be fine, however they are using very old equipment, which was pointed out by the optician who was undertaking my test! Have been back to get my glasses repaired (screw falling out) the nice member of staff did it but her manager/supervisor told them not to as it was too late in the day. There were no other customers in the store at the time. On another occasion went in to have a scratched lens replaced, upon picking them up the same manager refused to repair another customers glasses as they needed to book an appointment. Just find it sad that you can pay a lot of money for decent glasses, so you would expect a decent after-care service. Takes little effort to replace a screw but the amount of goodwill it generates is huge. They also like to send incessant letters reminding you to go back for biyearly checkups. No easy way to get these to stop.

The staff were lovely. So friendly and efficient. Everything was explained clearly. Lots of Covid measures to keep you safe and the glasses prices seem very reasonable.
