Excellent Consultation Dr Nicole Allshorn

5.0/ 5

Had a phone consultation to discuss ongoing health issues, Dr Allshorn spent over 30 minutes going through everything and speaking to me about all my concerns – she agreed a way forward and discussed other screens that were needed, unlike a lot of other consultations this one seemed to be very focussed and though all the others were good this one was very detailed and Dr Allshorn was clearly very bothered about certain things and wanted to look at everything, I was very happy with the way she did things and the effort she put in, amazing and very happy

The doctors are friendly and the surgery is clean. Parking is difficult for people with accessibility problems. My major gripe is that it’s so difficult to get an appointment. You have to wait on hold for ages to get through, then wait for a doctor to ring you back. If you try to book an appointment online, there’s nothing until a month later. At my last surgery, you could book an appointment on the phone or the internet for anytime during the upcoming week.

Staff are brilliant as well as the doctors, I've been going here since the birth of my first child (14 years), sadly more recently it's been more and more difficult to get through to the surgery or book appointments, and to that end myself and my family will be moving to a new surgery.

So far so good. Been here a couple of times since the merger and yes its good. Would have given it 5 star had the online consultation form not had a glitch in, the amount of questions it was asking was ridiculous especially as it was asking questions like where does my head hurt? My head doesn't hurt and i didn't say it did so why ask this? Then its tried to send me to a and e 3 times, my problem does not require me to go to a and e i just want to submit the online form and have a doctor call me back! Safe to say i have abandoned the form filling and ill speak to a pharmacist on Monday instead but i will pop in and let you know there is an issue with the online consultations. Apart from that there are no more complaints from me!

Telephone number is off . 20.12 .2021 08:00 till 08:15 the line is off even they don't put you in the queue. If you ring later then they say oh you have to ring 08.00 in the morning. If anything happens to my daughter shipley medical practice is responsible for it. Thanks

If you are lucky enough to get through to being on hold with reception instead of getting cut off you then have to put up with the most annoying on hold message repeating every 10 seconds for 3 hours. If I didn’t deserve urgent care before I certainly do now after smashing my head against the wall while listening to it.

I have been with surgery for many years and I regret to say that since they changed over to Affinity care the service has really gone down hill. It used to be a family friendly caring GP service, but now the staff are very lazy. People don’t go to the surgery unless they are in need of medical assistance and are already in pain or distress to then be treated harshly or dismissed. My recent experiences have been very upsetting, you can never get through to anyone on the phone most of the time it is engaged, when you finally do get through their are no appointments it’s really sad and frustrating because it is easily rectified all they have to do is employ some more reception staff or get another line how hard is it to understand.

I have been with this practice for over 30 years but not for much longer. The service is absolutly shocking! I am currently on hold and number 4 in the queue, I have been on the line 62 mins so far all because the doctor messed up my prescription. I spent the same amount of time on the phone to them the other day after a day of not being able to get through at all the day previous. The receptionist assured me she had rectified the problem and my medication would be ready the following day - 2 days later i still have no medication. Thats a week without my medication which i was warned that i am not allowed to just stop traking. I am absolutly shocked with the lack of service. The doctor dealing with me is also useless and has to google certain things to get an answer. It is no longer a family GP, there is no personal touch. such a shame
