A beautiful museum with well trained staff who can tell startling tails and bring the past to life. An absolute must to see, including an oldie cinema, but give your self plenty of time as to do it justice will take a whole day. Also very family friendly

Found this a really fascinating museum that is part of Leeds textile history. There are guided walks through the museum as part of the entrance fee and I found some of the stories both informative and amusing. The gardens located within the museum grounds are lovely for a picnic.

We had a fantastic afternoon here. As someone who loves to knit, I really enjoyed learning about what's involved in the process of turning raw wool into usable yarn. The vintage cinema was absolutely lovely - very atmospheric!

A fantastic museum for those interested in the history of the Leeds industrial age. Ideal for any age. As the site is an old mill before becoming a museum, it is still full of machinery used to make cloth and garments. It's a real insight for children who will never again have to working in gribble conditions from a very young age. A brief reminder of how things have changed over the years.
