Since working with Haines Watts our business has grown up a lot, we’ve matured, and it’s done us the world of good. Specifically, our accountant Donna Thomas has been awesome! Donna guided us through the crazy times of COVID, and was a stable, calm head when others were loosing theirs. As a startup, when we first started out back in 2018, we wanted to make sure the basics were in place from an accounting point of view. Subsequently we worked with a small accountancy firm, which was great at the time, and worked for us. When Donna first approached me, I wasn’t sure what the relationship would be like with Haines Watts. My thought process was ‘these guys are turning over £100m, how am I going to feel like a valued customer’. However, that thought was quickly removed by the way Donna is, extremely passionate and really cares, very CX Donna! After joining Haines Watts, we quickly found out that we were missing out on quite a few elements on how to financially structure our business, which once in place, made us fitter and stronger. We invest heavily in innovation, and with the guidance from the Haines Watts team, we have been able to really benefit from the R&D tax credits available. This is a great cash injection for us, and we simply would not have known about this if it wasn’t for Donna and the wider Haines Watts team..
