I had haircut today from this new guy (Jay) it was spot on , I would recommend him too.

The best barber I have ever been to. I travel some 60 miles for a top-notch cut by Copeland; he takes his time and makes a chore into a pleasure.

Great place for a hair cut!

The most frustrating place. I go near enough every two weeks and there are two lads in there who are really good, get it spot on every time. The third lad, ALWAYS too high on the sides despite being told to avoid this and just keeps hacking away. I’ve tried bottom end prices for barbers, i.e. 5 pound, now I’m with these where I pay 28 pound to get 1 decent haircut out of every 5. Such a shame because like I said, some of them can cut. Another prime example of a barber who won’t listen and just does what they want to your hair. Not a lot of knowledge around names of certain haircuts and styles either. E.g. if you go in for a french crop (fade on the side with nice, textured, choppy top with length in the back but shorter fringe (not just blunted as one lad will attempt) then you’ll be lucky.

Skilled staff that rarely change.

My second visit to get my hair done by Jay, and like someone else said on here, I know now that he’s going to be my hairdresser for as long as he’s in the business! Great attention to detail, extremely through, and inspires great confidence. Had a shave last time and that was sheer joy. Jay is also a fantastic guy, honest and very hardworking. If you give him the time and are prepared to listen, his story is amazing and speaks of great integrity and resilience. 100% recommended, and worth every penny.

Jay is a fantastic barber - best cut I've had in years. Ignore the old poor reviews, because that was under different people. Really friendly and professional. If you tell Jay what you want, he'll do it to a really high standard and won't rush. Definitely recommend.

Have been searching for a good barber for quite some time, finally stumbled across modern barbers. Professional barbers that know what they’re doing and listen to what you want, was extremely satisfied with the service, impressed with the hygiene standards and loved the staffs personalities!! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a great barber!!

We were visiting Leeds for the weekend and we had 30 minutes spare so we visited Modern Barbers to get my son a quick cut. Jay and his family were so friendly and my son was so pleased with the cut! I definitely recommend their services!

Jay is a super-talented barber. I have just had my third cut since working in the City Centre again and I know I've found my new permanent hairdresser. It's one of the best hairstyles I've had and Jay is great at interpreting and understanding exactly what you want without simply doing his own thing (which has happened to me a lot in the past!). Would recommend to anyone who wants a haircut in Leeds City centre. Would give him six stars if I could ;)
