I used to go here as a kid, when we used to visit my grandparents in adel... remembered it n knew my girls n doggy would love it too. Cafe is always busy on sunny days.. its a lovely place to walk with or without dogs/kids. Beautiful woods n feeding the ducks was the best bit i remembered as a child. Although now u cant use bread to feed ducks, you have to buy special duck food!?!

A big wide open, rural space situated in a Leeds suburb. Best explored on sunny days. Ideal for families, exasperated parents with hyperactive children, dog walkers, tree-hugging folks, botanists (they have some impressive fauna), birdwatchers and soul-searching types alike. It has a small lake, some lovely walks and a coffee shop with sun terrace. Sadly, it no longer has its steam train and very little of the track left that originally brought the folks of yesteryear to the place. Non the less, it's a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

I have been going to golden acre park from been a child. There is so many walks and trails you can take. You can choose to be near the cafe side of the park with the lake or you can have a more peaceful walk at the top end of the park across fields and through the woods. My dogs have always loved golden acre especially the top part. One of my favourite places to walk.

Really good and interesting place to walk. There are a few bird watching sheds along the walk too. You cross wooden bridges and there is a lake and a few small waterfalls. It can be muddy in the winter so wellies are a good idea. And there is also a nice coffee shop and a garden area. Another part of the lake has swans and ducks to see. Well worth a visit.

A superb park with lots of hidden corners to explore and lots of variety, from twisty secret woodland paths to sweeping lake side vistas. The multitude of trees attract a wealth of bird life. Trees make the place, whether planted by design or part of the wilder woods - a real contrast in a compact space, which is wonderful! Excellent cafe too with a lovely relaxed ambience.

Beautiful park, so scenic and spacious. Great to have such a place to visit to get away from the city. There are lots of different routes to take which makes visiting it exciting and peaks my curiosity. We’ll maintained facilities (toilets) and lovely cafe with great indoor and outdoor seating. Have visited 3 times within 2 weeks and intend to regularly visit!

It was truly amazing. I went around evening when the sun was almost there, captured a few good pictures of the sunset, the flowers and trees. It was a peaceful walk, it got dark, took a while to figure the route to the car park in the dark, there are 2 car parks on either end. But it felt like an adventure trying to find my way back. Would definitely recommend going here for a solo walk or a dog walk.

One of the nicest parks in Leeds. Great for a dog walk (although they must be on leads around the main lake). Decent café and loads of wildlife. Plenty of space to picnic.
