Possibly the most jaw dropping oldest and weirdest sight or attraction you'll ever see in Liverpool, the guys here dig all these tunnels out at weekends volunteers all, they've won all kinds of awards now and rightly so, fantastic insight into old Liverpool if you only visit one place in the city make sure this is it.

I visited today with a group of friends and I was not disappointed! Just an amazing place to see and find out the history of from our guide Tom, who was a font of knowledge. Really glad I finally got to cross this off my to do list, but I think I've caught the bug from Tom our guide, and I'm now looking for books by local historians to read up more on this amazing place.

An excellent experience, Tom is a very informative guide with a passion for his subject. Able to answer a host of questions he took our small group of visitors on a very interesting tour. I would thoroughly recommend visiting the Friends of Williamson Tunnels site.

Better than the Beatles, bigger than the Liver Buildings, on par with the underground city of Derinkuyu; the Williamson tunnels are Liverpool's most under rated asset. The tour is brilliant, we had a lovely guide named Peter who is a font of knowledge on the history of this great City; highly recommended.
