Interesting as to living conditions but very small. Worth doing if in area and all the other attractions but not on its own.
A historic building on the Liverpool waterfront, it is now home to archaeology and curatorial staff from the Museum of Liverpool as well as the local Portable Antiquities Scheme liaison officer.
Nice people work here
Although The Pilotage Building isn't open to the public it is surrounded by historic artifacts that are well worth a look. There's a propeller from RMS Lusitania, a Cunard liner that was torpedoed in 1915 with the loss of 1198 lives. There's a pilot ship called Edmund Gardener that has been painted to become a 'dazzle ship'. During August and September you can climb aboard for a tour on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is also a monument to the cart horses that once helped move goods around the docks. Every trip to Liverpool should include a wander around this part of the waterfront.
Beautiful building on the waterfront. Really historic and obviously has lots of history attached. Well maintained.
Nice
