York College has a great hospitality department. They have a restaurant on site where the students can put their knowledge into practice. Throughout the year (during term time) they organise a series of themed events, and you can go and sample the food. The standard is excellent and the presentation is second to none. I have attended these events for many years and it doesn’t disappoint! This is definitely a hidden gem and if you haven’t been, then I would highly recommend you try it out! There’s free parking so you don’t have to worry about driving into town and paying for parking! The photos will give you a taster...

An amazing place. I work there!!

As a foreign exchange student I could not have been more satisfied with the college. The courses were relevant and educational. Tutors were helpful and personal with a high level of expertice within their subject.

Building falling to pieces. Staff are rude and don't know how to teach. Absolutely disgusting marketing department.

Good parking. Difficult to access the building as security on reception were deliberately ignoring. We call a central security mobile number who assured us he would contact security who werw ignoring us on the other side of a sliding door. After taking a call - I wonder who from ? - the door was unlocked The facility itself was clean and good

An absolute amazing place the food the service and the ambience is exceptional.

Went to the hair and beauty department for a perm and a hair cut. The price was real good and the student who did my hair did an awesome job. Masks and shields worn by students whilst dealing with customers and masks only for the students working else where. I had a great experience, and my hair turned out better than expected. I know that since covid came along the students are really short on live models to practice on, so if your wanting your hair doing at a super price and you have a couple of hours to spare then this is your place to get your hair done. The students are closely monitored by their lovely lecturers and every step is checked before progressing to the next. Car parking was simple, just went to reception and asked for a parking permit. So get yourself a good value hair do.

Went for an external training course. Room offered was extremely small with no ventilation and no guest WiFi. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful and parking was good.
