This is heaven for a book lover. Chaotic yet organised heaven. I collect different editions of various books and this is a great place to find those, or to find something completely new altogether. Give yourself plenty of time if you want a good look around!

If you are a book lover, this is a place for you. All books are used. It's fantastic for finding the older books. I frequently visit the shop and have bought many books from there. They are in different conditions but priced accordingly and very reasonably. We'll worth a visit as the shop is abundant with a very wide variety of stock. As well as all this the owner is a really nice friendly chap. I love the place.

Everything a magical little bookshop should be. There's a weird shelf of odds and ends outside for 10p, which almost never has anything I want, but makes my day when there is something.

Something of an Aladdinʼs cave, with books from floor to ceiling on two floors and lots of boxes to rummage through. Stock more secondhand rather than rare or antiquarian, though itʼs unlikely youʼll not fnd something you want to buy. Some classical CDs and DVDs also knocking around. Worth a visit if youʼre in any way a bookworm.

A gem of a bookshop, old fashioned and bristling with books. Large sections on history, politics and local geography. I found 3 science fiction books which I have desired for years and they were just sat there waiting for me. Prices were very good and I paid on average £4 per hardback book. Give it a go and visit soon, chances are you will be glad you did.

4/ 5

An absolute treasure-trove of books beyond the scope of recommended reading, bestsellers, and transient fads. Overseen by a very knowledgeable gentleman, reminiscent of a life-long professor, it's a treasure hunt activity to browse the overflowing bookcases and cherry-pick gems to tickle curiosity. With this in mind, it's useful to know what you're looking for before losing an hour to perusing dust-jackets. The only thing that I'd suggest to allow a more efficient visit is the Herculean task of itemising/cataloguing and referencing all the books, allowing more browsing room, upstairs storage, and the ability to suggest specific books based on stock. Maybe an assistant?

Even after spending well over an hour studying its numerous shelves and rocky piles of books ranging in various subjects, I feel as though I'm only scratching the surface of what this gold mine of knowledge and escapism has to offer. A delightful little bookshop that's well worth a visit!
