It was perhaps the oldest terminal at Heathrow Airport. Once it was known as Heathrow East Terminal, or the Queen's Terminal. From 2014, it took huge renovation works which are yet to be completed. All star alliance airlines operate from this terminal. Therefore, it becomes the major terminal at Heathrow. I found it very functional, easy and user friendly. I wish all other stakeholders will also have similar views. Due to its huge size, sometimes I felt glare in my eyes.

Beata, one of the Underground staff, helped us with my daughter's and my Oyster Cards. She was terrific, very friendly, and super helpful! She also gave us great recommendations to do what the locals do!

Security was very patient and helpful as we sorted through the one bag rule for liquids and such. Bathrooms are clean, signage is clear, transportation between terminals was efficient, and there are lots of shops, restaurannts, and duty free stores to choose from. I will definitely take more connecting flights through London Heathrow in the future.

Collecting a loved one from the airport was straight forward with no queues through security and barely anyone on the plane (their experience, not mine). Much less stressful than I thought it would be.
