Less library; more community centre. I went on a Saturday hoping to clock a few hours of quiet study time. Just when I was getting in the flow, an event started right behind me in an open area. Parents and children started singing nursery rhymes out loud! When I asked staff if they had any quiet spaces, they said this is the only area, and that there are booked for events all day. Biggest irony of all - they have large prominent signs warning against noisy and disruptive behaviour *sigh*.

This place is super loud and small! Between 8 and 9.30 am, there are 100s of people walking through the library from one entrance to another - using it like some shortcut/corridor of sorts. The sound of people walking, especially the high heels, and the talking doesn't escape the study tables/area. Either regulate the people walking through the library or have a separate/enclosed study area. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. A joke of a library to be honest.

Very friendly staff and the opening hours are great. The location is perfect. But as other reviews say there is not enough study space, it is quite loud and for some reason I just cannot get used to catalogue system here, but that could just be me.

It was honestly one of the strangest libraries I have ever been to. First, I went in, and when I asked if they had a quiet section, they said none. This is just one floor with the kid's sections joined, which is fine. Twenty minutes later, I had someone who seemed bored and wanted to argue. Telling me I could not have a hot drink on an empty desk or the floor next to my bag. I was only allowed water. Then 10 minutes later, trying to go back to my study, I had another person coming to me and asking to go to the desk and book another session even though the library was empty and there were many more empty desks for people to use. When I went to the desk, they said I had to become a member to book a desk, which will take 10 minutes and use their computer. So instead of thinking, I need to go to a library to study in a quiet none disturbing place. I had to deal with library staff who took their job way too serious and enjoyed bothering the people there. The staff need training not to disturb the people there. Because if I wanted someone to bother me, I would have stayed home.
