The woman called Pat is so useless. She can not help with more advanced questions so I have no clue why she is always at the front. Last time she was on her mobile while at work. How unprofessional.

I pass my sincere compliments towards Mr Sam Zaghloul for his patience and great assistance with me when opening my account. His professionalism and friendliness are commendable, and he is a great brand ambassador for the company as well as the Ealing Broadway HSBC branch. In the business of banking, Sam is not all about transactions and processing requests, but he is about being personable and building relationships. Sam provided remarkable customer service. Visiting this branch has been the first positive experience of stopping by a bank. Thank you, Sam.

I had the worst customer service experience at this HSBC branch trying to upgrade my account. The attitude of the man who served me was condescending and I felt like I was being treated as an unimportant customer, despite having banked with HSBC for years. To ungrade my account I needed a proof of address and I explained the situation, which is that I live in a modern cohousing facility where all bills are included and hence I cannot provide these. I asked whether a tenancy agreement is acceptable, as I was not aware what constitutes a 'reputable lending agency', as per their wording in the list of acceptable documents. The response I got upon the HSBC agent researching my accommodation was 'this is just a building'. I believe that I did not ask for an opinion of my lifestyle choices at that time. I was also told to get a provisional driving licence for proof of address purposes and this is not even on the list of acceptable documents. The hassle of obtaining this when I was already in a hurry would have been vain. I went to nearby Barcleys where I was properly heard and the best option presented in my situation was to obtain a letter from HMRC. I appreciate their willingness to listen and support, instead of making me feel like I'd done something wrong. Very unprofessional HSBC! I will be moving on unfortunately.

Pathetic services.. No customer obsession.. Applied online for account and they asked to come to a branch for verification but sadly they say we don't have staff to fulfill the requirements. Official timing is 5.00 but you can not arrive at 4.00 as they stop working at 4.00.. Asked me to come early in the day.. Unfortunately this was 3rd time i visited HSBC branch... They don't want to work at all.. Online banking is best..

If I could give zero stars I would have done it. I came to the bank to switch my account from Lloyds. But what a mistake I have done! HSBC Ealing treat you with disrespect to your time, make you come to the branch a third time with no full information about their requirements! The employees are like robots with no empathy - they clearly do not care even if you plan to bring them your money. My advise to those who consider them as a bank - AVOID!!!

Rude and aggressive staff. They demand mask from all customers, but they do not care to follow the rule themselves. Half of the bank employees just wear them below the chin, so they can make it look good on the first notice. When I have made a comment about a problem, the employee just turned back on me and ignored it. That should give you an idea how much they care about customers as front-line employees meeting hundreds of people per day are just perfect carriers.
