Dowdy shop, useful for stationery, arts supplies, books, and magazines. Needs a serious face lift in order for it to appeal to the masses. There's nothing particularly bad about this branch, rather it's whsmith itself which has not invested in its shops and tried to modernise. It is still useful for certain things but it just looks dowdy.

Bought some stationary which was absolutely fine I along with this also bought a 12 rated film, I am aged 16 and a half. The worker there denied the purchase as I did not have my passport on me. I understand that you can't be too careful and the worker was only doing his job but I was shocked and embarrassed that I was denied a purchase as I could have looked under 12.

Great location with a great selection of cards, magazines and stationary. The layout is a little awkward but overall a pleasant experience going in.
