Don't visit very often as I live over 20 miles away. Was working nearby so called in to do some Christmas shopping. Visited Marks and Spencer, next, John Lewis. I found all that I was looking for so very pleased. Good parking and very convenient for park and ride as well.

I actually quite like Vangarde just for a trip out more than anything. John Lewis is nice to wonder around, and the cafe is nice. The carrot cake is very good I must say so I would try it...

Be aware of the parking time limits. It's too easy to fall victim to a PCN if you eat as well as shop. Apart from the parking issues (apparently York Council imposed said restriction), Vangarde has good shops in a good location.

Great place to spend a Saturday afternoon shopping, plenty of parking and three main retailers two with coffee shops. Should be even better when the sports stadium and cinema opens. Highly recommended.

Terrible parking policy, though the shops are lovely. If you spend more than three hours here, regardless of whether you're spending money with the businesses based here, you will be sent a £48 bill, increasing to £80 if you don't pay it immediately. It would be one thing if you had to collect a ticket stating time of arrival, but there's no such system. I went with a family member and we ended up spending a considerable amount of money on Christmas shopping in this park, only to be met with a fine a few days later because we had apparently overstayed our welcome. Incredibly disappointing, and we won't go back with the parking system as it is.
