As of 2019 the college is relatively new so some lack of organisation in the management team is expected however as a whole the college has been improving in terms of organisation. The college has excellent engineering facilities which cater for any budding engineer, in addition to that the college has new laboratory equipment so science practical lessons never come to a compromise due to a lack of required equipment. There are some excellent teachers at the college as well as very friendly staff. I would recommend the college for anyone wanting to study STEM subjects.

Completely unorganized. Never sticks to their word. Don't believe the trash about treating us like adults as it doesn't happen. Don't waste your time.

This "College" is far from the promises made it is basically a normal school with more hours and less staff with inconvenience in the placement. The school can rarely keep a teacher for more than 3 months or 4 if your lucky. The entire of my Year 11 i have had 2 teachers that haven't left the school. Not worth coming to your better staying at your old school.

My daughter moved to UTC at the beginning of year 10. The teaching and support staff there are excellent. In her old school no one knew the kids or seemed to care, but here they know the kids and treat them on a more adult level . I have seen my daughters confidence and enthusiasm come on in leaps and bounds. She sings the praises of the teachers especially Mrs Wright & Mr Berry. She has been encouraged with the feedback and praise she gets and now she actually looks forward to going to school. From the Principal down the staff are always happy to talk to parents and immediately sort out any issues. Highly recommended.

My son is in Year 11 and I cannot speak too highly of this place from the facilities themselves to the caring staff ; this is a place that makes kids WANT to learn. . I feel very grateful that the UTC exists and will be giving him a strong head start in the post COVID jobs market. I He has been transformed from a blazer and tie wearing schoolboy scared of putting a foot wrong and hating half his subjects at his old school to a confident and self motivated young man. The travel seemed daunting at first but it doesn't bother him at all - he s home most days in the north of Leeds by 4 pm. If your child is on an academic STEM pathway but want practical experience at the same time you won't regret choosing the UTC
