It gives me great comfort to have my loved ones buried here. It's less formal than traditional cemeteries yet well looked-after and very peaceful. And the staff are lovely and helpful.

So pleasant and peaceful, a place for quiet contemplation. I appreciated the patient understanding shown to me by the lady in the office at a time when I was very distressed. I find comfort and a degree of peace knowing the place is so well cared-for.

A small, beautifully maintained place with a peaceful atmosphere. More welcoming than the traditional, large council cemeteries. A local gem.

1/ 5

If you are thinking of using this cemetery, THINK AGAIN. You may not think that this being a PRIVATE CEMETERY is important but it could be in the future. As most cemeteries are council owned, they will adhere to codes of practice and have complaints mechanisms should the need arise, not so here. This cemetery may have been set up with different ideals but an ownership change has sadly led to a situation where hardly anyone is in the office. Phone messages and emails are not responded to, TOTALLY unprofessional. Be warned and proceed at your own risk. The current owner thinks otherwise which is why the very first positive review on google has been left by himself. No doubt a local guide will leave the next positive review, describing it as peaceful and tranquil, they are referring to the office as it is always closed.

It's not a true woodland cemetery, when they first started out they said all the grave stones was going to be flush with the ground and all the same color this is not the case and they have gone against it and there is nothing natural about it.
