We attended a wedding reception at this hotel. Really good food. Friendly staff. A nice garden in need of some love ( a good gardener ).. Only bottled ales which was a bit of a disappointment. A really lovely manager, or maybe owner I chatted to. I'm sure we will return. Quite a small car park though.

Please DO NOT stay in this ' hotel'. It is not being run like a hotel at all more like an air bnb which is totally against the impression they are giving. There were NO STAFF when we stayed. Despite booking months in advance we were called the night before and told there would be no staff during our stay because, and I quote, 'the owner doesn't want to pay us.' The person on the phone made out this was an unusual situation but when we arrived and ran into other guests they said it had been the same the previous night. They were very unhappy and had decided to move out. Who knows how often the hotel do this? So we were left in a hotel all on our own with one other set of guests. As far as I'm concerned it was very unsafe and goes totally against what a customer should expect. They're charging hotel prices and not offering a hotel service.

Quaint little property with wonderful woods in the back. Staff is very helpful. A bit outside the main city but rooms are great.

£245 for 2 night in this hotel. Payed extra for garden view, we got the end of the car park (even after asking if it was garden view), the hotel was basically empty and the staff still felt our carpark view was suitable for the price we payed. The room is very small, with extremely average furniture. Bedside lamps in the room did not work. Feel like we have been extremely overcharged for the quality of hotel. Looks old and needs work doing to it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. much better, modern and cheaper options in the same area
