The hotel and rooms are very nice and most of the staff very helpful, however the restaurant is a very different story. The first night of our stay when the restaurant was quiet we waited a very long time for our dinner and eventually when food did arrive we were given our dessert first instead of our dinner. The second night it took two hours to get our meal and had we not noticed our dinner going to the wrong table I fear it would have been much longer. I understand that Friday was a busy night but no explanation or apology was given for such poor service. Far more staff needed.

Staff are always very kind and helpful. Breakfast is nice with plenty of selection also there is a good range of evening meals available with room service option if required. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy walk from hotel to town along the river bank. Only niggle is additional charge of £13 to park the car at the hotel. Overall happy to recommend this hotel.

What a lovely hotel. Rooms have been refurbished. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all good. Great breakfast, had two evening meals and they were first class. Lady manager couldn't do enough for us, she was interesting to chat to, as was all the other staff.

I do not always give a 5-star rating (normally the highest I go is 4) but I cannot fault this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable, the amenities amazing and I had a no so small balcony to the room which would have been used had it not been raining! The spa was wonderful, and the food was delicious. If I have to leave a piece of constructive criticism its that the menu in the dining room is printed in very light ink which may make it difficult for people with sight problems to see easily, but I am sure that when the rebranding has finished this may already be being taken care off. Would certainly come back

I've Never stayed at the hotel but their Leisure Centre is amazing. The swimming pool is small but clean excellent for beginners who are learning to swim, The gym is a good size with plenty of equipment it also has a sauna and steam room. There's a disabled changing room for people with disabilities. This is a great leisure centre with a nice swimming pool very clean and suitable for all.

What a great little hotel! Our room had a rain shower, a private balcony, a free bottle of water and copious tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits. The room had air conditioning, a great TV with many channels and was modern and clean. Decor throughout the hotel appeared clean and fresh. Breakfast cost £15pp and was superb, with fruit, continental and full English choices available, all buffet-style and without limits. Tea and coffee were served at the table. The staff were universally excellent. The lady on Reception was friendly and the restaurant staff were caring and efficient. Be aware that parking costs £10 per night (to 6:00pm the next day), which seems normal for Oxford. Also, we didn't get to try the leisure facilities or have an evening meal at the hotel, as we were only there one night and visited Blenheim that evening.

Nice enough, fancy nice reception but some areas can be improved. The spa closing at 6pm is definitely poor. Unable to use it if one is wanting to enjoy it after work. Some cleanliness issues for me. Quite a lot of mold in the bath which could be easily fixed if they paid attention...as well as peeling silicone etc. Not good enough. Food was average but it wasn't too expensive and the bar staff were lovely. Lots of parking.

We have recently just celebrated our anniversary here for a 2 night stay. We was checked in by a welcoming and friendly gentleman called Alex. We could not find a single fault within the hotel. We made use of the spa, gym, bar and hotel surroundings. The room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. We visited the bar in the evening and had a gentleman called abhay greet us and serve our drinks with exceptional service. We opted in for the breakfast in bed options both days and it arrived on time, hot and tasteful with a variety of choices to choose from. We had a walk along the Thames river that backs on to the hotel and it was simply picturesque. We will definitely be returning for another stay.

Lovely staff and a lovely room. The access shower room would benefit from replacing the current toilet to a higher "comfort" system. More grab bars in the shower and around the shower room walls are needed. Would stay again!
