My room wasn't great and would benefit from some TLC but it was clean and perfectly okay for me. The hotel staff were awesome from the bar/reception, cleaners, guys/girls in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal and in the gym/pool area. Great food for breakfast and evening meal both reasonably priced. The gym has recently been refurbished and is state of the art with a good selection of both aerobic machines and free weights. Pool, steam, sauna and jet pool all worth a visit.

Good location, a 30 minute walk into Yarm or 5 minute taxi but quite difficult to get a taxi from the hotel unless ordered at least an hour in advance. Good bar and down stairs area. The rooms are tired and small for the price, but generally clean. Mattress uncomfortable and not great duvet or pillows but the covers were okay. Really poorly soundproofed, you can hear noise constantly from other rooms, corridors and doors shutting and noise from the outside garden area. Obviously suffering staff wise, because of covid I expect and it took ages to be seen on check-in, but other wise the staff were helpful and fairly cheerful. We would stay again but only if we had a refurbished room (I assume there are some as the pictures on the website are slightly misleading) or if the rate was cheaper.

First off, they said they only had single rooms where it was clear online they had doubles. They didn't take any notice to our platinum membership and upgrade us to anything better. The rooms where dated and the pillows average. They had a spa/swimming area which we didn't bother with but could have been alright... and after settling up the night before they asked us to pay for more the beers in the morning which had already been paid. Didn't bother arguing with it doubt will be staying staying. Ta
