They get a Zero Star from me, 1 star because it wouldn't allow me to post otherwise!!! Wife has tried to get probate for 4 months in the most straight forward probate case (1-2 asset estate). Rang at least 50 times and that STUPID recorded message is all we get!!! The HMRC have sent ALL the Tax documents back at least 2-3 weeks ago (they always efficiently want to grab your money first). The WORST part of all of this is that there's no status update and NOTHING from Probate's part to inform you, despite us doing an online application, Sending emails and ringing 50 times!!! They told us our paperwork is in Oxford when we visited London Branch because Oxford deal with Online applications "apparently" (clever clogs.... NOT) !!! Utterly ridiculous these people toying with people's livelihoods. You look at a photo of the probate certificate and its nothing special, its not like its got to go to the QUEEN to get it stamped. I'm willing to bet my house that most people ANGRY on here would be a lot more calmer and organised with their lives relating to executing a will if they got a tag and trace status update of where their documents were. Its hard enough dealing with a bereavement and Probate offices just stick the middle finger at all of us executors!!! BLOODY USELESS!!!!

Like so many of the reviews here, this is a poorly organised answering service. First, a long preamble regarding where to seek information and obtain forms and an invitation to hold the line to speak to somebody - before being told that all the lines are busy, please try again later. Surely, either implement a queue system or put the "all lines are busy" upfront so that you do not have to sit through the long preamble every time you try.

Trying to contact this office is a nightmare. There is no E mail to write to and when you try and call them on the phone you are cut off every time because there are too many people in the queue ahead of you. For an office which is trying to help people at a time of bereavement it is appallingly inefficient and just cause more stress!

Just had some useful help but after waiting 40 minutes for the phone to be answered. Then I had 10 mins trying to find answers to questions I hadn't anticipated. It seems shambolic, and our wait of 18 months (to date) for probate is surely long enough. The whole system, solicitors, HMRC, probate office all seem reluctant to get on with the job. They must realise that they are going to get an 'unprecedented volume of calls' because so many people need answers. They have houses which have been empty for years. Speeding up the probate process would provide homes, but this is far too advanced for our Whitehall mandarins and politicians.

A Shocking service. 3 yrs we have been resending paper work because they have lost it and not ones have they said sorry. If your using there service and sending paper work vai post pay that little bit more and get it sent recorded. It doesn't spot them saying we didnt receive it but your have proof they have sign for it. Really bad experience and were still waiting on them.

Having read the negative rewiews. This business will be shut down and financial tort applied and recompense for all the badly managed customers. Equality of law applies. When I go down there, they will know how common law applies to them and see how it feels.
