The Old White Swan york

Delicious pub food. Our party had toad in the hole, the pie trio and fish n chips. All items were delicious, especially the toad in the hole. The sticky toffee pudding with custard was also very tasty.

Old white swan is one of the best pubs in york, was recommended Leodis lager off sandy the bar maid. It was one of the best lagers I've had. Was quite when we came in so sandy was cleaning the glass shelves. She is a credit to the old white swan York. Had the beef rib pie. Was very nice in a red wine and mushroom sauce. Defo worth a visit if your in the area.

Fairly late bar for York, reasonably friendly staff and good choice of drinks. Was quiet when we were inside so there was plenty of choice for sitting in what is a good sized bar

Good food, good selection of beers. Two beer gardens one smoking and one no-smoking, very good idea!!!

Good quiz on Thursdays...speed quiz no cheating..loved it ..but didn't win..! Great selection of lagers and real ale..

Came here for a quick beer between shopping, and lush little beer garden. Sat outside as its covered so wasn't too cold. Good beers on tap and it was busy and really nice atmosphere. Definitely want to come back to try some of the food as we saw some coming out and it looked lush.

There is a bit of something for everyone here. Sadly we couldn't get in to eat, so can't review the food, but we did manage to squeeze in for a pint .... There is the sports and TV section, for folks who like that, a normal pub, food area, which is cosy with an open fire. And a separate restaurant. And an out door covered canopy for those who want to have some free air around them. Beer was good and staff friendly.

The food here was amazing, I had the garlic schnitzel with fries and I couldn't fault it! The rest of my groups food looked great too, service was relatively fast and always friendly. The server knew a lot about the different gins and other spirits they had which was great!

Lovely grand eating area with a couple of open fires to keep you warm. Great food and lovely bar staff to help with anything you need. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had lunch today and I can't understand previous reviews. Both our meals (fishcakes and garlic chicken schnitzel) were delicious plus a very fresh house salad. Thank you.
