I love the setting of the Holburne cafe but would it hurt to go the extra mile and serve a coffee at 4.31 when closing at 4.30. I think the running of the cafe lacks imagination for what it could be. A beautiful day like today it could be open into the early evening with a bit of food and music. It is never short of customers. Surely it could do better than the odd late Friday once a month.

My first time there. Wednesday after 3 it was free to visit. Really interesting and cleverly curated exhibitions. Good cafe and plenty of outside space for kids to let of steam and adults to relax.

Small elegant art gallery with good range of temporary displays and exhibitions. Contemporary art shown in relation to historical collections in creative and imaginative way. Eduard Vuillard exhibition small but very good, showing how radical he was in experimenting with the painted image in relation to photography. Café very pleasant, though lunch not quite as good as we expected.

Not as bus as you see few museums in London. Little away from town center you might want to take a bus U1, or taxi. But also not too far on foot, so your choice. There is a entry charge and free for kids. On couple of days in a week like on Wednesday evening around 3 to 5 its free entry for all.

I found this museum just okay. Apart from a current exhibition I found the curation quite full and the entry fee quite steep. Lots of other places to visit in bath, this would not be near the top of my list.
