There's barbers and there is the "Barber shop" Dale street Liverpool! Quality professional hair cuts with an appointment system for those of us with a busy schedule. Reasonably priced compared to the "other" barbers with the added touch of a great coffee or other beverage is offered while your waiting, customer care at its best. Check it out, you will be impressed. Must be a great place with a fantastic atmosphere as some football celebrities have been filmed there for a Nivea advert. Don't take my word for it check it out for yourself people!!

I’ve been a customer of The Barber Shop since September. I booked in an appointment for 11am today. By 11:26am I was still waiting in the back. Normally I’d be a bit more patient; however while I had been waiting for 26 minutes to get my hair cut there were at least three barbers in the back room laughing and chatting. Quite thrown off by the poor customer service. Top tip would be to triple confirm on the phone that they have you booked in properly. Tip for the owner; if a client consistently tips their barber well, you may want to ensure that they receive a decent standard of customer service. Hair cuts here are not inexpensive and really should be matched with a quality level of customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. Worse, I wouldn't recommend The Barber Shop to any of my friends.

New to Liverpool and website looked good so thought why not. Lad cutting my hair said about 2 words to me whole way through, didn’t do what I asked and wasn’t interested in asking throughout haircut. I was the only person in having a cut and lad seemed more interested engaging in foul mouthed, sexist, borderline rascist conversation with colleagues. When presented with final haircut told him he hadn’t done what I’d asked, spent a token 30 secs to rectify. Still wasn’t done to satisfaction. Very disappointing got to the point where couldn’t wait to get out of there. Will need a another cut in about a week the amount they took off. Avoid unless you like bad haircuts and all of the above. Seem like there’s plenty in liverpool, will try your competitors next time.

I've been going here since I first moved to Liverpool in 2017 and never had a haircut anywhere else.

I've been going here since I first moved to Liverpool in 2017 and never had a haircut anywhere else. Sometimes it's been hit or miss but normally they get it right or at least I can change it up into a style that works when I get home. Today was a huge miss. I was told to go to this European (?) barber (never caught his name) with face/hand tattoos and wearing a beanie. I sat down and spent a few minutes telling him exactly what I wanted done. I told him I wanted a fade from a 2 to a 4 and that I wanted just the ends taken off the top, I showed him 2 pictures but he seemed kind of uninterested. I trusted him until at one point he went to borrow another barber's water bottle and I looked at the left side and saw that there was a chunk of hair missing above my ear. I asked him why it was like that and he tried to tell me that it was because of how light my skin is. I've been getting this exact hair cut since September and never seen that before. Without telling me (until the very end), he went on to change the fade from a 2 to a 0. Then when he was cutting the top, he stood directly in front of my face so I couldn't see myself in the mirror and when he moved away, I saw that almost all the length towards the back was gone and he had taken far more off the top than we had agreed on before he started cutting. This barber literally just ignored everything I asked him to do and then blatantly lied to me when I asked him why it was the way that it was. He was more interested in asking the other barbers what team was playing football than to actually make an effort with my haircut. I paid and left knowing nothing could be done to fix this absolute mess except waiting for it to grow back. I'll never be back here again. TL;DR European barber ignored everything I asked him to do, did his own thing and horrendously messed my hair up and lied to cover himself up.

I booked in for a Skin Fade and Beard Trim with Emlyn and I'm really satisfied with the result! I was a First time customer. The shop and staff are great and make you feel really welcome. The complimentary drink is a thoughtful touch. Overall, a brilliant visit and I would recommend Emlyn to all. I've not experienced any of the other staff but I saw Jack's work on other customers when I was there and that looked spot on too.

This is the first time I have had my hair cut by someone different in about 2 years so I felt very anxious. Gabe quickly eased my fears as he was very clear about what he was doing each step. A great versatile cut. It will allow me to wear my hair in different ways until I figure out how I want my hair to be. Will definitely be returning after lockdown.
