I love the community this college has to offer. Great formals and socials, plus a beautiful ground that feels like Alice in wonderland. The college also has a wonderful history and even boasts Theresa May as an alumni. St. Hugh's is also one of the biggest college grounds and has plenty of room to grow. Make sure to stop by in the spring for a picnic on the lawn or a game of croquet.

Lovely place for a visitor to stay outside term-time, sufficiently far enough outside the city centre to avoid being overrun by other tourists/casual visitors, but only a 15 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

As a place to stay, St. Hugh's is affordable, has lovely gardens, and has a large dining hall. The room rates often involve shared bathrooms, which are fairly clean but less convenient than an ensuite bathroom. The only knock against St. Hugh's is that it is a 20 to 30 minute walk to Oxford City Centre, but that's what makes the place cheaper than the alternatives. I suggest getting a bus pass, and using the nearest bus stop (2 min. walk from St. Hugh's Porter's Lodge / main entrance).

A great place to stay when in Oxford and the students are away, the college has accommodation that is very clean and lots of privacy. The staff are very helpful and one can easily access the oxford city. The gardens are absolutely astounding in beauty.

Not what you'd think of as a classic olde worlde Oxford college - it has a refreshing, unpretentious and friendly atmosphere - normal people you might say - but blessed with lots of space being that half mile out from the crowded centre. And the contribution to women's emancipation and its distinguished alumni sets it apart as particularly unique.
