Rubbish school. Don't bother. Used to be a good school but got a new head a couple of years ago. Joined an academy and merged with the boys school wyvern next door. Shouldn't be called a girls school anymore because it's a mixed school with mixed classes. School was in chaos no timetable for first 3 days backs at school. Boys are really rough fights in the corridors school doesn't care not even about bullying. Not very caring about medical needs or disabilities. Majority of teachers have left, new ones are rubbish don't mark any work you do. The work is too easy don't push you only want you to get a pass in your GCSEs avoid at all costs do not recommend.

These reviews are always very polarised and I'd say, very unfair. The school is now mixed with Wyvern and have now made one big mixed site - my daughter says it is much better having the boys around! People need to get their facts straight - the boys DO have their own choir - they performed recently at a concert and the big choir WILL be mixed from next year as will all after-school activities including fencing. I also have a son at Wyvern and they never had ANY of the opportunities they have had this year before. Give the school a break - you can't do everything in a year. I recently had a tour round the school for the youngest (Year 5) and it was brilliant - absolutely no bad behaviour - all students focused in their lessons and when I read this, I checked with my children - "fights in the corridor" - absolute rubbish! There's a great atmosphere - I'd say go in and have a walk round before spouting rubbish! These kind of reviews wind me up - schools and teachers work so hard and get very little positive feedback - hence me feeling I needed to review. The school is caring, has great staff and the teachers are happy (not "all leaving" - some are, but when you have 80 teachers in a school that's going to happen every year)... I'd recommend this school every time and I'm a teacher at another school!

Boys can’t do fencing but yet the girls can, this is an outrage, but more importantly boys can’t
