This is a great little pub in the heart of Oxford. It does a wide variety of beers which are continually updated so there's always something new to try however regularly you visit. As someone who works nearby, this is it's great attraction for me. It shows sports as well with a projector and big screen upstairs for the big games. Whenever I've eaten here the food had been great and in the modern English style

Excellent selection of well-kept ales. Very tasty pork pies. Last Friday of each month, they have a lively jazz band in. Atmosphere wise, it's what I'd call a "through trade" pub. Other punters are usually chatty. Staff are attentive and cope very well with what can be a crowded bar. Probably my favourite in town.

Really good old fashioned pub. Great selection of real ales and lagers. Have two TVs in the bar so a great place to watch sky sports. The menu looked really good though I didn't partake, the fish and chips looked and smelled really good. Staff are very friendly. Be going back to watch more football, beer and maybe the fish and chips.

I've lived in the Oxford area for nearly 15 years and have never even noticed this little pub, right in the middle of town near the iconic Carfax Tower. If you're looking for a traditional "British Pub" feel, but in the heart of bustling Oxford, then this is your place. It serves traditional British ales as well as more "trendy" bottled beers (e.g. Sol) as well as a good range of ciders. Give it a go - and don't forget to use Google Maps to find it as it's easy to walk past! :-)
