Called reception twice in the last two days with important queries. On both occasions staff didn't have the answers, so i was put onto another line which then ran dead. Poor Service!

This is probably my favorite hotel in the world. I came here with a large group a few years ago to hike the Slieve Donard. This idyllic hotel makes you feel like you're in a Masterpiece/BBC period piece and the staff is absolutely wonderful. When I had fallen into a nearby natural pool with my phone in my pocket, the front desk was able to help me find where I could get rice (which unfortunately didn't work) and buy a new phone. Also, Michael, the doorman, is one of the nicest and most thoughtful person you'll ever meet. After making it to the top of the Slieve Donard only to get lost on the way down after sunset (eventually to be saved by a group of teenagers camping overnight), I had to decompress with a massage the next day. Unfortunately the spa was fully booked but the staff went out of their way to squeeze in a 25-min massage for me. It was the best massage ever and the spa amenities/facilities are stellar (I befriended a woman in the women's lounge area by the jacuzzi who drove a couple hours just to spend the afternoon there) and why The Spa is my #1 fav spa in the world.

We have stayed here on quite a few occasions and enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately we won't be back due to the extortionate prices. I appreciate it has very high standards, but nearly £600 for two nights is shocking. We would get 3 nights for the same price elsewhere.

We've been for coffee and lunch, but this was our first overnight stay. Very impressed. Beautiful building, spotless inside with lots of little areas to sit and people watch, comfy bed, friendly staff, tasty breakfast...get a window table if you can, magnificent views. Christmas decorations were so tastefully done...would certainly recommend a visit🌟
