Should give higher rate for the good services, yet discounted due to the arrangement of room. Given welcome drinks while they let us wait for the room to be ready. Waited about 1 hour for the room. They also gave us a box of fruits as welcome gift and a small pack of biscuits as apology due to the delay in checked in. As compensate, our check out time also push back by 1 hour. The room is spacious with balcony and bath tub. We booked a pool view room, however the pool is all blocked by the trees. When we reflected this to the receptionist, the only respond we received was "the view is blocked by the trees right. So sorry about this". If management already know the so called pool view is blocked, the room rate should not charge as pool view rate. Due to the covid precaution, beach and swimming pool entrance need to reserve early and have limitation of time. Understand this is the precaution, however still feel a bit sad as due to the late check in, the evening slot is fully booked and i missed the sunset view at the beach.

Did a 14 day stay at this luxurious Shangri-La Resort in Singapore. Absolutely brilliant experience, outstanding service through all facilities. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, the private beach is super clean with an abundance of water activities on offer and the on site restaurant has a good varied menu. It’s a little away from the main Singapore city centre but has regular shuttles running all day - the Universal Studios are a must for children and adults alike. Just need to save up for another trip!!!!

My son's wedding was held today, 24 Dec at Barnacle by the sea. This is our first time having a vegan banquet at this hotel; i was really glad that the food were well prepared; they were delicious and unique, filled with natural taste. I highly recommend the vegan banquet here. The staff service was sincere and friendly. This was my most satisfied hotel banquet experience. Our guess also gave compliments to the food and services. Thanks so much for your sincere service and the good food that has made my son's wedding function a great one!

Absolutely amazing, and flawless! Only been here 2 times, but enough for me to tell you that this is one of my most highly recommended hotels! The rooms are ultra clean, spacious, and ultimately very comfortable. The pools are so fun and the beach! If you are considering staying there, you MUST hit the beach! If you are signing up under specific packages in the resort, you'll also be able to get a buffet! Not free, though. In summary, it's comfortable, family friendly, fun and relaxing! FIVE STARS!!!!!

Really good service by the staff. This hotel is old for sure but still you can't beat the location and the view. Some of the renovations are done well but plenty more could be done. The breakfast buffet is also done well with the help of the excellent staff during COVID. Not value for money on selective days when the price skyrockets. Nice place for the kids as they have a lot of places to do activity. Definitely a family friendly place and very easy to spend 2 nights. Also thanks a lot to the management for special note with a surprise cake to make our stay memorable.

2/ 5

We went with high expectations after hearing so much about what a kid friendly resort this is. Unfortunately it really fell short of our expectations. We paid extra for an early check in at 12pm but our baby crib, steriliser and high chair only came at 330pm, way past my son’s naptime. Despite us calling them multiple times and them saying they will send it up. Food wasn’t great at silver shell cafe which we are okay about. Although for a kid friendly resort they can do better than bottled purées under ‘baby’s menu’ and fried nuggets/croquettes under ‘kids menu’? Perhaps a little more variety would be nice. Last, we were given a conjoining room. Given the thin walls, we could hear loud talking and laughter next door way past 10pm. Which isn’t considered that late. But would have appreciated if walls were better sound-proofed. The only saving grace was the sea view and large pools but we won’t be coming back. There are many other options around sentosa which we would head for in future.

Stayed here twice for 5d4n in Oct & May 2021. The kids really enjoyed the stay as it was child friendly with a plenty of activities be it indoor or outdoor. We had our meals at Sliver shell cafe daily. The food was good but we had the same menu throughout the 5d4n. It will be good to have a different set of menu on alternate day. We will definitely be going back with the kids and hope to see such improvement. Thank you
