Excellent food and friendly service

Shahi has a great reputation in York for it's food. Abdul the owner and chef is really generous and kind when you come in...and it comes across in the food. The curries are just beautiful...best I personally know of in York. I love going there! Nad spice is another really good one.

I got food poisoning from here. Extremely dangerous food practices. The Food and Health administration are looking into banning them so just be very careful.

If this could be -100 rated it would be. We was given the completely wrong order for 1 person when was a group of 7. The manager is the rudest man possible shouting at us refusing to give us a refund or even provide us with the correct food, then decided to put a customer on the phone to speak to us. Absolutely shocking and awful!

Ordered via Just Eat. Came promptly but lukewarm. I ordered vegetable bhuna which promised a mix of chickpea, cauliflower and okra, instead I got mixed veg of carrot, cabbage and onion. It was pleasant enough but I was disappointed.
