This is my surgery from 1 year now becouse its the close one and I met nice people but also very bad people from both places reception and doctors- nurses rooms. Today I want talk about the bad experience becouse I think the managers need to see also what they can improve and who need more training. I'm talking about manners and real ,professional, genuine listening and health advices! Unfortunatly some element of reception is very rude and aggressive, I had an experience with 2 doctors that they give the impression that they don't have time and need to rush like they give just a protocol advices for that situation like every case is not unique and also I had a bad experience with a nurse for my son's 1 year vaccination day that she was welcome us in the room with her back, explain super fast and she felt annoyed if i asked to repeat some step of the process. In my opinion in the medical places it's a must show real listening, don't rush, respect the dignity and concerns of the patients.

Absolutely rubbish. I need an emergency appointment and even after the surgery being open for "half an hour" the phone lines are still down. I find this outrageous as there are many sick people who need to be seen. This isn't my first bad experience here. Last time I have an appointment at 9am but I had to wait until 9:40 because the doctors were too busy making coffee and jokes with the receptionists . I truley think that all of the staff in this establishment need taining or replacing. My advice: Don't become a doctor if you're not prepaired to get to work on time. Pathetic.

This is a great surgery, very easy parking available, especially for disabled/elderly/families etc, very easy access, especially for disabled etc, chemist is right next door, bus stop right by front door, doctors and staff are lovely, welcoming, friendly, professional, nothing to much trouble, family friendly of course, but the main thing is, you don't have to make an appointment, just turn up at 8am when they open and although you may have to wait, ( which I must say I have waited no more than 30mins ), you will be seen by a doctor, also, should you need blood tests etc, the York Centre is 5 min walking distance.

I often here people complaining of not being able to get an appointment or even a phone contact with their Practice. I tell them how great the surgery has been during the pandemic, I have never had a problem getting through, yes you may have to keep redialing for 10 minutes or so as it is so busy, always greeted by friendly reception staff who go out of their way to help, triaged appropriately. 5 * nurses and doctors who treat you holistically and whom work with you to provide appropriate care. I greatly appreciate all their hard work in these difficult times.

Response: I'm only interested in a written apology letter, or at the very least a sincere and honest explanation. My family suffered through countless excuses, and I don't want to hear any more of them. ______________________________ One of the GPs, who shall remain nameless here, blocked my mum from coming home during her last days (back in September 2021 in the Royal), preventing her from spending the last of her time on Earth with her loving family. I've refrained from posting this review for two months, but it's time. My family is healing from the cruelty displayed by the NHS, making this difficult time much worse than it should have been, but some things are difficult to forgive.

The best GP surgery I’ve ever been to, absolutely gutted to have to leave due to house move. Receptionists are always very helpful and the doctors are lovely, they really listen to you and do their best to get to the bottom of your issue.

Absolutely disgusting attitude towards young adults, my daughter is a uni student living hours away

Absolutely disgusting attitude towards young adults, my daughter is a uni student living hours away from home has been trying to speak to a Dr for 4 days and has rang numerous times, she is clearly upset and distressed and the attitude of the staff towards her is a disgrace, she is coughing up thick green phlegm and has been told it’s a viral infection that will take up to 6 weeks to resolve. She has a history of Chest, ears and throat problems and this is the advice she has been given. No wonder the hospitals are so busy when you have GPs giving out this sort of treatment!
