this place is amazing! great vibe, really relaxed atmosphere and some of the best sounding recordings I have ever heard... in my own body of work, the recordings done here are for sure.. THE BEST. Al is a great engineer and producer, he has an extremely rare talent of getting the EXACT sound you want even if you are hard to please... Like me. Al also gets great performances from musicians and is a reassuring guidance through what can be a daunting task (recording) .. definitely a good guy to have around with a different perspective and a fresh pair of ears. Almost forgot... THE GEAR!!

Back in 2008/2009 I recorded my debut album at Sandhills. I found the studio to be very comfortable

Back in 2008/2009 I recorded my debut album at Sandhills. I found the studio to be very comfortable and relaxed and a great environment to be in - which is important if you're going to spend a few weeks or more there. The price was excellent considering the standard of equipment they have and the professionalism and skill of the sound engineer. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to record.
