It's getting a wee bit in need of a refurb but on the whole it's still in good nick. The grounds are groomed and well cared for. The staff are great - a few kiwi chick's in the restaurant crew last evening so I felt very much at home. They do a good buffet breakfast in the morning - I don't have time to properly finish mine or to enjoy it but it would've been very enjoyable had I had the time to take it more slowly. Comfortable beds, though I felt cold when I went to bed and could have done with an extra blanket - there weren't any which I found disappointing. Better to use an extra blanket than heating system. Well maintained bathroom, good shower. Altogether happy with my overnight there while transiting.

Stayed here for 4 nights recently. Food was superb, I was even given a free dessert one night and it was amazing. Only issue is the jets on the spa bath hadn’t been cleaned possibly ever, thankfully I expected this and didn’t turn them on until I was done in the bath and then cleaned them myself for the following night/s use. Overall a wonderful stay though.

We had a lovely stay the young man was lovely and very helpful when we checked in. My only criticism is don't just patch doors and frames but paint the whole section.

Nice room. I would give the restaurant a wide berth.
