4/ 5

I was an inpatient in the adolescent unit for over 6 months, and it was the most challenging experience of my life. But I wouldn't have managed without it. The staff were wonderful and caring. They helped me through very difficult times. To those struggling with this thing, this whole ordeal is hard, it's true, and you might not even realise how hard you've been fighting. You are brave, the bravest person I know, and I know that one day you will realise that this disorder is not your life. I was in your situation, I thought this thing would control me forever and I want to tell you, once you fight it you can do it. Start living for yourself. πŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸŒˆ

the only positive experience i’ve had in this place was meeting supportive patients who quickly became my friends. some staff are absolutely lovely but the others are just ridiculous- they act superior and make you feel guilty about the smallest things. there was a recent incident where i was seen out walking a few metres behind a friend and i’ve been put in isolation for it. that’s understandable as precaution with the covid situation, but staff didn’t have to go as far as calling me selfish and voicing their disappointment, as i’ve done nothing wrong. that was very triggering and ruined my 3 months of progress in this hospital.
