3/ 5

Nice station with something of a rural atmosphere, but as there are stairs down to the southbound platform with an old cast iron footbridge linking it to the northbound side, it's not ideal for people with mobility issues and totally impassable for wheelchair users. Note that there is no car park and parking is difficult in nearby streets.

3/ 5

Rice Lane station is on the Northern line with trains between Liverpool Central and Kirkby. A handy location to reach Kirkby which only takes 6 minutes or Liverpool city centre in just 11 minutes. The station has a staffed ticket office. However, it is not suitable for wheelchairs and could be difficult to access with a pram as station access is via steps. Kirkby bound trains can only be reached via a footbridge. There is no toilet available and no car park.
