Stayed for two nights post-wedding and Retreat East really helped us avoid any post-wedding blues. We stayed in The Hayloft which was perfect, great size and really well finished. The staff were on it all stay and the food is both amazing quality and really well priced for the surroundings. The whole place is top quality without a hint of pretentiousness. Can't wait to stay again some day.

Possibly the best UK trip we have ever experienced. The accommodation, the service, the scenery, the food, the massages... everything about our trip was 10/10. Every single member of staff gave us exceptional customer service that we will always remember. We cannot wait to go back to Retreat East - it will most certainly be annual trip for us going forward. Thank you all.

Such a tranquil retreat and first of all a big thank you to the whole team who looked after us and our two dogs whilst we were there. So many places say they are dog friendly but then when you stay it’s clear that they aren’t really, but this place is a home from home for them and they can roam everywhere and stay in the rooms + are allowed in dining room, bar etc. Our room in The Warren had it’s own kitchen and was very well set up with everything you may need. The bathroom products are excellent too. Maybe have a cafetière in the kitchen too is my only observation. We will be back!!

We loved our stay at retreat east - they were so helpful with local recommendations, booking activities, arranging taxis etc. and they were so welcoming of our dogs (and us)! Service felt very personal and all the staff went out of their way to be helpful and even came in to clean mid week. Beautifully decorated barns, very comfy beds, great gym and hot tub, amazing massage and the outdoor area of The Stables was huge! Much bigger than we expected which was great for the dogs and dinners outside. We’ll 100% recommend to friends but there were a couple of small things that could be improved - cooked breakfast was great, but the continental breakfast and some dishes at dinner were only ok. Other dinner dishes great but a bit hit and miss. Would also be good if the menu rotated a bit more throughout the week. This being said we had an absolutely brilliant time and will definitely come back!
