I recently visited the nursery and school on a show round after hearing many years ago that it had a good reputation. I was astounded but for all the wrong reasons. After setting foot in the nursery I was hit by the disgusting stench of urine emanating from the toilets. When I then walked into the classroom area, I was shocked to see how unhappy the children all appeared to be. There appeared to be no love or warmth towards the children from the nursery teacher. The whole school atmosphere appeared to be more of a business rather than concentrating on caring and nurturing the children. Save your money and avoid this places at all costs.

Senco here was the worst most teachers there were just grumpy the deputy head master who taught r.s threw my book across the classroom and threw my stuff on the floor as a joke which is unacceptable and rude. This school is a complete joke! Also the headmaster literally told me that I wasn’t going to get in to my next school just because he was upset that I was going to a better school. Unfortunately some of my relatives have children who go there I wish them luck since they are going to need it at this school

My children have absolutely LOVED this school – from the amazing teachers to the challenging curriculum and all the extra activities and trimmings! With John Lyon School on the scene, this school can only go from strength to strength. Though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, allowing children more confidence when asking questions, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed and will go the extra-mile to do so. The teachers have truly invested in my children’s education and their growth as learners!

My twin boys attended Quainton Hall school and I have to say I was extremely pleased with the school. The head of school Mr Ford was extremely approachable and he knew the different characteristics of my twins and gave me solid advice accordingly. He helped me through the process of getting them into senior school and was always on hand to sort out any issues. He is the kindest and most thoughtful Head teacher I have come across. The teachers are very friendly and the pastoral care in the school is excellent. I have to commend in particular Miss khan, their math teacher who made my kids fall in love with maths and now are top of their respective classes in maths. Also, for first point of contact about non-academic issues, Mrs Nishma Aleksin-Shah is a mother figure to all the kids and she knows every single one of them by name. She is so helpful and made us feel very welcome when we joined the school in 2014 and was on hand to answer even the silliest questions I had. I highly recommend this outstanding school as I noticed all the kids always seemed happy and relaxed.
